Considering his outstanding contributions to the scientific cooperation between China and Thailand, Suranaree University of Technology (SUT) conferred honorary Ph.D degree on Wang Yifang on October 13, 2015. Princess Sirindhorn of Thailand presented at the conferring ceremony. 

In 2014, IHEP and SUT signed a cooperative MOU on high energy physics. Since then, both sides have developed a close cooperation in the fields of particle physics theory and experiment, and neutrino physics. 

SUT is the first university of science and technology in Thailand. Its School of Physics boasts a strong team in the researches of condensed matter physics, nano-physics, nuclear and particle physics, astronomy and synchrotron radiation, which is actively involved in international cooperation.
