Secretary of the Municipal Dongguan Committee of the CPC, Lv Yesheng stepped into the China Spallation Neutron Source (CSNS) as his first official visit. IHEP Director Wang Yifang and CSNS Project Manager Chen Hesheng received Mr. Lv and other officers. From Left to Right: Wang Yifang, Lv Yesheng, Chen Hesheng A tour of CSNS was arranged for the guests. They visited the CSNS sandbox, the linac tunnel, the RCS tunnel and the target station. Prof. Chen Hesheng briefly introduced the distribution of CSNS, as well as the principles and the latest progress of this project. He said that CSNS has received many supports from the local government. As a return, CSNS will try the best to help Dongguan with the industrial revolution. Discussion with the Delegation After touring around CSNS, the guests were invited to have an informal discussion with the staffs of CSNS. Discussions were held at the following topics: The application and operation of CSNS, the scientific cooperation with the local universities, as well as the potential users of CSNS. Also, Mr. Lv Yesheng claimed that the government of Dongguan City will continue to support the project construction of CSNS.
