CSNS-ISIS Collaboration Meeting held in Dongguan Date: 2023-11-09 Author: The CSNS-ISIS Collaboration Meeting was held in Dongguan on 30 October. Prof. WANG Sheng, the Deputy Director of IHEP and the Director of CSNS, welcomed the ISIS delegation. He expressed gratitude for the nearly twenty years of cooperation between CSNS and ISIS and hoped to further strengthen the cooperation and exchange between the two facilities. Prof. Roger Eccleston, the Director of ISIS, stated that the cooperation between the two sides will help solve technical challenges in neutron source facilities, such as supplier issues for important components. In addition, users in China are growing rapidly, and ISIS has more than 30 years of experience in user training. ISIS is very willing to provide advice and suggestions for the development of the user community in China. CAS Academician Prof. CHEN Hesheng and Dr. Daniel Brooker, the Director of the UKRI China Office, also attended the meeting. The two sides have shared a lot in common and both agreed to expand the collaboration in broader areas such as personnel exchanges, organizing joint academic workshops, user training, joint appointment of postdoctoral fellows, and the construction of the joint laboratory.
