CSNS was awarded the top scientific prize at the 2021 Guangdong Provincial Science and Technology Innovation Conference on April 15th. CAS Academician Chen Hesheng attended the conference and received the award on behalf of CSNS.

CSNS began the construction in October 2011 and finished in August 2018. Since then CSNS was open for user application - more than 3400 users registered at CSNS, with around 700 experiments completed.
