On 30 May, CSNS alongside with Hefei Keye Electro-Physical Equipment Co., Ltd (refer to as Keye) held a pre-delivery acceptance meeting to inspect the mechanical bodies of choppers for its user instruments. CSNS’s director Chen Yanwei attended the meeting.

Followed by a report and an on-site inspection, the acceptance panel concluded that all the technical parameters of the 10 chopper mechanical bodies manufactured in Keye had reached the design goals, and they agreed to pass the acceptance. Keye has produced 10 sets of mechanical bodies for 1 T0 chopper and 9 disk choppers, which will soon be installed on four user instruments at CSNS. The chopper is a high-speed rotating machine, which has strict technical requirements for the radial runout of spindle, dynamic balance accuracy, vibration intensity, etc. The design, processing, and precision assembly were proved to meet the requirements, and this will be beneficial to extend the machine’s operating life.
