In order to promote neutron scattering technology and cultivate potential users, the first CSNS neutron school was held on October 20-26 at the Dongguan Campus of the Institute of High Energy Physics. 30 students from 27 universities and research institutes (including Hong Kong and Macau) attended the school and took a series of training courses. The trainees are mainly doctoral students, and a few postdoctoral and young scientists who have clear requirements and plans for neutron scattering applications. The first CSNS neutron school has achieved the expected goals and gained rich experience for next year.
