Hosted by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Beijing-Hong Kong Academic Exchange Center and the Spallation Neutron Source Science Center, the seminar was successfully held September 9-10 in Dongguan. The purpose of this seminar is to build an academic exchange platform for multidisciplinary applications of neutron scattering technology and synchrotron radiation technology for experts and scholars in the Mainland and Hong Kong. Academician Chen Hesheng, the chief director and engineering manager of CSNS, and Academician Guo, the president of the City University of Hong Kong, respectively chaired the seminar in the Mainland and Hong Kong. 40 experts and scholars from related fields from the Mainland, Hong Kong and Macao participated in the seminar. Suggestions and ideas were addressed for the construction of the future instruments of CSNS and the development positioning of the Southern Photon Source.
