On February 25th, Ms. Grace Lang, Director of the UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) Office in China, came to visit the CSNS. Prof. Chen Hesheng received the guests.
Chen Hesheng introduced the CSNS project overview, and highlighted the exchanges and cooperation between CSNS and the UK scientific community, especially the close cooperation between CSNS and the ISIS. Chen mentioned that CSNS and ISIS have always maintained close cooperation and smooth communication. ISIS has provided important assistance to the development of CSNS. Chen hopes that the two sides will continue to cooperate and contribute to Sino-British scientific and technological exchanges and development. Chen also pointed out that users from the UK such as Cambridge University and Queen Mary University in London have come to CSNS for experiments. CSNS also welcomes more users from the UK to use high-quality experiments with spallation neutron source devices.
At the subsequent symposium, Grace Lang thanked CSNS for its warm reception. She said that UKRI has always been very supportive of Sino-British cooperation in large scientific facilities. She and her team will continue to actively promote further cooperation and exchanges between researchers in the fields of mutual visits and user training.
