April 1, 2017. A delegation from the Dongguan government, led by Mayor of Dongguan City Liang Weidong, came to CSNS for site investigation on the first day of April, 2017. CSNS project manager Chen Hesheng received the guests.

Chen Hesheng gave a brief introduction to the CSNS, the principles and the  latest progress of this project to the guests. After that, discussions were held at the following topics: The application and operation of CSNS, the cooperation’s with local universities, enterprises and research institutions, as well as the strategic planning of building the Neutron Science Village based on CSNS. Liang Weidong said that the Dongguan government will continue to provide solid support to the CSNS project.

The guests also visited the CSNS Linac tunnel and target station. Liang Weidong was impressed by the project progress. He wished CSNS more success in the future.
