Prof. Ma Li is the CSNS project Executive Deputy Manager.  He is an accelerator expert and has many experiences in large-scale scientific projects.

Prof. Ma graduated in modern physics from University of Science and Technology of China in 1976. From 1980 to 1985, he worked for the Beijing Proton Synchrotron（BPS）and the BEPC. He also has many international working experiences. From 1985 to 1986, he went to Brookhaven National Lab and participated in the NSLS project. From 1992 to 1993, he went to KEK and worked for the KEKB project. From 2000, he was appointed the head of storage rings division of BEPC II, responsible for designing and constructing the storage rings.
