The review on the design of Large High Altitude Air Shower Observatory (LHAASO) civil engineering work was held on November 17, 2015.

An expert panel, consisting of IHEP experts and five specially invited experts from Zhongyuan Engineering Ltd, was set up and reviewed the designs from two architectural design institutes.

The review, covering architectural structure, supporting facilities, heating and ventilation, costs and so on, has been serious and successful. Many suggestions were put forward, and requirements were also made on the text that would be reported to the National Reform and Development Commission.

LHAASO is now making essential progress. The success of this review has laid a good foundation for its future progress and will be sure to speed up the project.
