WANG Enge, CAS Vice President, paid an inspection visit to IHEP on March 10th, 2015.
In the company of WANG Yifang, director of IHEP and other IHEP leaders, the Vice President toured the Beijing Electron Positron Collider (BEPC), the Beijing Spectrometer (BES) and the Beijing Synchrotron Radiation Facility (BSRF), having an on-site understanding of the mega-science facility’s construction and operation, multi-disciplinary studies and so on.
During his visit, the Vice President was briefed and asked about the progress of ADS (Accelerator Driven Sub-system), JUNO (Jiangmen Underground Neutrino Observatory), LHAASO (Large High Altitude Air Shower Observatory) and other mega-science projects currently undertaken by IHEP. He was very satisfactory and spoke highly of the achievements made by IHEP in mage-science facility construction and technology transfer.
