The China Spallation Neutron Source (CSNS) Project launched the engineering construction of a dedicated road leading to its

construction site on Feb. 25, one day after the Project Feasibility Study was approved by the National Development and Reform Commission. The 4.449-kilometre-long road will link the construction site with the Changhu Expressway. The construction investment, 90 million yuan in total, will be made by the Dongguan city government.

While the road construction is being carried out in an all round way, a group of experts from CSNS Project is inspecting construction companies in Guangdong with an aim to invite bidding for the CSNS civil construction.

The other news is on the Preliminary Design Report, which is a must-be-done matter before the project construction kicks off. The CSNS scientists have been busy working with the report for a period of time, and it is expected that the report will be submitted in about a month's time to CAS for final review.
