Title: Present and future INFN activities on flavor physics. The recent past (KLOE), the present (NA62) and the close future (SuperB).

Speaker; Prof. T. Spadaro (Coordinator of particle physics activities ofLaboratori Nazionali di Frascati of INFN, including KLOE and NA62 collaborations.)

Host: Prof. Shan Jin

Time: 15:00, July 8, 2011

Place: Room A419

Abstract: Recent achievements in flavor-physics by KLOE at Frascati and NA62 at CERN are revised: the most precise test of CKM unitarity, lepton-flavor violation and lepton universality tests are briefly described. Goals and status of the present activities in the field, the upgrade of KLOE and the NA62 phase-II experiment are discussed.

The future of italian high-energy physics will be dominated by a new Super B factory, to be build close to the Frascati area. The R&D activity and the status of the project are outlined.
